James started grinding machines and turntables and collecting records in the late 90’s. Coming from an eclectic rock culture such as The Doors, to Alice in Chains or Metallica. New Age like Jean Michel Jarre or Mike Oldfield. Industrial like NIN or Frontline Assembly. Big Beat like The Prodigy or The Chemical Brothers. Electronica like Boards of Canada or Biosphere. Techno like CJ Bolland, Jeff Mills, Laurent Garnier. Minimal like Monolake, or Plastikman to name a few. It is in this Minimal style where he made his debut as a dj at the Kiosk Klub as well as at the Name Festival (Lille, France) for a few years, allowing him to play with many recognized artists like for example, Plus8/Minus, Soma, Kompakt or Cadenza Records, and playing between Paris and Brussels. Since the end of Kiosk Klub, he has been part of the Expedit crew which organizes Techno and Acid evenings in undisclosed places. In the 2010’s, he held a digital label with friends named Audiokraft Records on which he released a few productions at the time, but never had the opportunity to send a demo anywhere, and only composed music as an amateur and kept that deep in his hard drives.
